Facebook group helps dads navigate raising LGBTQ+ children: "Find support in a way that's really different"
CBSN
A private Facebook group made up of dads with LGBTQIA+ kids aims to be a safe place where fathers can learn how to better raise their children, with a community of other people committed to making the world a better place for them.
"We help dads who are just coming to grips with the fact that they have a LGBT kid, and figure out what they're dealing with and how to support these kids, and how to bring our families along to be more supportive to our children," co-founder David Armstrong said on CBSN Tuesday. The group, Dragon Dads, has more than 1,000 members across the country. Armstrong said they primarily have "strong presences in the South, in some of the little bit more conservative faith communities."More Related News
