Extreme cold warning issued for Airdrie, Cochrane area

An extreme cold warning was issued Sunday morning for the area around Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds and Sundre.

An extreme cold warning was issued Sunday morning for the area around Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds and Sundre.

Environment Canada advised that wind chills near -40 are occurring.

It said the extreme wind chills are expected to moderate before noon.

And the forecast calls for Monday to be significantly warmer than Sunday will be.
