
Expert refuses to rule out another UK lockdown before Christmas

A British infectious disease expert said Sunday that he “can’t be certain” that the United Kingdom won’t need to lock down again before Christmas — saying it’s going to be a “difficult summer” battling new COVID-19 cases.
Neil Ferguson, a professor from Imperial College London, refused to rule out that the country won’t need to reimpose the same COVID-19 restrictions set to be lifted Monday. “It’s going to be a difficult summer for many reasons… I think case numbers are likely to be declining at least by late September, even in the worst-case scenario,” Ferguson told the BBC’s “Andrew Marr Show.“More Related News
