Param Bir Singh has been untraceable for the past one month. But the latest affidavit filed by him before justice (retired) Kailas Uttamchand Chandiwal commission fuels speculation: Is Param Bir Singh in Chandigarh?
During the proceeding of the one-member Justice (retired) Kailas Uttamchand Chandiwal commission in Mumbai, senior counsel Abhinav Chandrachud and Asif Lampwala appeared for former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh and filed an affidavit with a power of attorney made by Singh.
The power of attorney is made in Chandigarh and states that a person named Mahesh Panchal has been given the authority to represent Param Bir Singh at the commission. The affidavit further states that Singh has no evidence to lead or cross examine anyone.
