Excise team serves notices to actors Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi in hybrid ganja seizure case.
The Excise team probing the hybrid ganja seizure case has served notices to film actors Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi, directing them to appear for questioning on April 28.
On April 1, excise sleuths seized three kilograms of hybrid ganja from a resort at Omanapuzha in Alappuzha. It has so far arrested three persons-Thasleema Sulthana alias Christina, her husband Sultan Akbar Ali and K. Feroze in connection with case. “We have served notices to two actors and a few others, directing them to appear before the investigating team,” said an Excise official.
Officials said that call and message details retrieved from Thasleema’s mobile phone had “established” her links with the film stars. The probe team believes she supplied drugs to the two actors.
Earlier this week, a local court in Alappuzha sent the three accused in the case to Excise custody till April 24. They will be taken to Ernakulam for evidence collection later today.
