Former Bodhan MLA Shakeel Aamir Mohammed returns to Hyderabad from Dubai for his mother's funeral amidst legal issues.
Former Bodhan MLA Shakeel Aamir Mohammed arrived in Hyderabad early on Thursday (April 10, 2025) morning from Dubai to attend the funeral of his mother, who had passed away the previous night. He was allowed to travel to Bodhan to participate in the funeral.
A Look Out Circular (LoC) had been issued against him after he allegedly left for Dubai following a case registered in connection with his son, Raheel Aamir alias Sahil, who had rammed a car into a police barricade near Praja Bhavan in December 2023. The former legislator was accused of helping his son evade arrest and was later named in the case.
On his arrival at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad, immigration officials flagged the LoC and alerted the local police. He was taken aside for verification and allowed to leave for Bodhan soon after.
According to an officer from Hyderabad’s West Zone police, Shakeel Aamir had submitted a request prior to his journey seeking permission to attend the funeral. “On humanitarian grounds, we allowed him to proceed but instructed him to appear before the Panjagutta police for questioning,” the officer said.

There are two instances where the government has shifted out such establishments out of the core city areas. The APMC yard, which was operating out of N.T. Pet, was shifted to Yeshwanthpur in the late 1980s, and HAL airport was shut down for passenger traffic and a new airport was built near Devanahalli.
