Former Karnataka minister BT Lalitha Naik has received a death threat letter from unidentified miscreants.
Former Culture and Women and Child Welfare of Karnataka, BT Lalitha Naik, received a death threat letter from unknown miscreants.
The letter addressed to the 77-year-old writer and social activist mentioned that her life would be in danger if she attended an event organised by the Popular Front of India (PFI), Campus Front of India (CFI), and the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).
However, the letter had no details of the sender.
Speaking to India Today, Naik said the letter abused her and other writers, including Champa, SG Siddaramaiah, and Devanur Mahadeva. The letter also mentions two former Karnataka Chief Ministers, Siddaramaiah and HD Kumaraswamy. The letter said that they all supported anti-national elements.
Lalitha Naik has lodged a complaint with the Sanjaynagar Police in this regard. The letter was written in red ink to mimic the visual appearance of blood.
Naik had received such threat letters in the past as well.
