Ex-Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria joins Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor as Chief Nodal Office

With its ambitious Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC) project, the Centre aims to reduce India's dependency of the Indian aerospace and defence sector on foreign players.
The Centre has appointed former Air Chief Marshal (Retd) Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria as Chief Nodal Officer for the UPDIC project. The Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC), an aspirational project under the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA)
The project is expected to reduce foreign dependency of the Indian aerospace and defence sector.
ACM Bhadauria has experience of over four decades with defence services.
"ACM Bhadauria's involvement will be a catalyst for the development of the UP Defence Industrial Corridor. He is the former chief of the Indian Air Force with an immense focus on supporting the indigenous defence industry and AtmaNirbharta in the Defence & Aerospace Sector," a statement by the government read.
