EWS quota for general category won't undermine other reservations: Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan

The introduction of 10 per cent reservation for economically weaker sections in the general category would not undermine other reservations, said Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said the 10 per cent reservations for economically weaker sections (EWS) in the general category would not undermine other reservations in the state. It will not change the present reservation system, he added.

Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday launched a state-level survey to recognise the economically weaker sections in the general category.
