Everyone wants him on the team: Punjab CM on Sidhu’s potential return to state cabinet

After a meeting on Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said he is hopeful that MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu will soon rejoin the Cabinet.

A day after his “cordial” meeting with MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu over tea, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said on Thursday, “Everyone wants him to be part of our team.” CM Amarinder Singh said he was hopeful that Sidhu, whom he has known since the latter was a child, would soon take a call to rejoin the state cabinet. Navjot Singh Sidhu had quit the Punjab Cabinet in June 2019 after being divested of a key portfolio.
