The entire United States is on alert for hazardous weather Friday morning as numerous storms move through, unleashing blizzards, flooding rain and even tornadoes.

More than 1,000 flights within, into or out of the country were already canceled by 7 a.m. ET.
One storm system is on its way out of the Rocky Mountains and into the Heartland, where blizzard conditions have been reported in Kansas along Interstate 70 with near zero visibility.
Parts of the Rockies and southern Wyoming saw up to 45 inches of snow in the last two days. Snow was even seen coming down over parts of Las Vegas and accumulating on palm trees.
As of Friday morning, the National Weather Service has issued blizzard warnings for six midwestern states from Nebraska to Wisconsin, including the major cities of Des Moines, Iowa, and Green Bay, Wisconsin. Snowfall totals for the Midwest and the Great Lakes regions could range from 6 to 12 inches.
