In their IPL 2021 season opener, Chennai Super Kings were handed a 7-wicket defeat by Delhi Capitals after they failed to defend an above-par total of 188. Prithvi Shaw (72) and Shikhar Dhawan (85) stitched a 138-run opening stand as Delhi gunned down the target in just 18.4 overs. With spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali struggling to be effective at the Wankhede Stadium, which is know for late-evening dew and small boundary size, CSK were left clueless in search of wickets on Saturday.
