Evasive tiger captured after six-day chase in Bengal's South 24 Parganas

A tiger who led the forest department on a six-day chase near Kultali in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district was finally captured on Tuesday.
The West Bengal Forest Department has finally managed to catch the Royal Bengal Tiger that had terrorised villagers in Kultali in the state's South 24 Parganas district. This was the result of a six-day-long chase that ended with the tiger's capture.
Officials say the tiger evaded traps set up by the forest department and was elusive till Monday. The tiger strayed into a human habitat on the banks of the Piyali River at Kultali when it was spotted.
