Central to this political drama is Jordan Bardella, the 28-year-old leader of the National Rally, who is positioned as a potential Prime Minister should his party win a majority. Bardella has focused on issues such as the cost of living, jobs, and French identity, resonating with many voters.

At the G7 summit in Italy, key issues include a proposed $50 billion loan to Ukraine, funded by frozen Russian assets, and discussions on the Israel-Hamas conflict, the Indo-Pacific region, and migration from Africa.
