Denmark's Christian Eriksen will get a heart starter device implanted after his collapse during Denmark's Euro 2020 opener on Saturday.
Christian Eriksen will be fitted with a heart-starter device (ICD) following his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, Denmark team doctor Morten Boesen said in a statement on Thursday. "After Christian has been through different heart examinations it has been decided that he should have an ICD (heart starter)," doctor Morten Boesen said. He added that such a device is necessary after a cardiac attack due to rhythm disturbances. Notably, Eriksen suffered a scary collapse on the pitch and received CPR before being stretched off the field. There was silence in the Parken Stadium that hosted close to 16,000 fans as the medical staff attended to Christian Eriksen who fell face-first on the pitch while he was near the touchline to receive a ball for a throw-in the 43rd minute of the Euro 2020 match.More Related News
