Eric Adams says he’s spoken to three women about leading NYPD if elected mayor
NY Post
Democratic primary front-runner Eric Adams is in discussions with three women to be his police commissioner if he wins the mayoral election, and sources say the NYPD’s first female chief of patrol, Juanita Holmes, is at the top of his list.
“She can navigate the politics, but she also knows what it means to be a cop trying to police in this environment,” a law enforcement source told The Post, referring to activists and elected leaders who want to defund the NYPD amid surging crime. During a PIX11 interview Thursday night, Adams discussed his promise to make history by naming the first woman to lead the NYPD in its 175-year history.More Related News
