Mamata Banerjee reviewed security arrangements ahead of RSS chief's visit to West Bengal. She asked police officials to keep vigil.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while reviewing the security arrangements ahead of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat's visit, told police officials to ensure there are no riots.
Mamata Banerjee said, "RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will be in Keshiary village in West Midnapore from May 17 to 20. What’s his agenda? Keep an eye, give proper protection so that they don’t stoke riots."
"If possible, send some sweets and fruits from the administration so that they understand we take good care of our guests. But don’t go overboard, else he may take advantage," she added.
The West Bengal CM was holding an administrative meeting at West Midnapore district on Tuesday. It was attended by senior bureaucrats, district officials and the police.
Bhagwat is scheduled to camp at Keshiary for four days where he will take part in a RSS training camp. The camp will be held for three weeks.
