Six white ball matches of Babar Azam's side will not be telecast in Pakistan, country's Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said on Tuesday. Chaudhry stated that Indian companies hold the right to broadcast matches in South Asia.
Pakistan's Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, has said that six white-ball matches of Babar Azam's side during the England tour will not be telecast in the country as Indian companies are holding broadcast rights in South Asia. Fawad Chaudhry added that business with Indian companies will be conducted only after the Government of India revokes the decision taken on August 5, 2019. Notably, India on the aforementioned date had revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and passed legislation to split it into two Union Territories. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the minister said (Pakistan Television Corporation) PTV's request for a contract with Indian broadcasters Star and Asia, who have the rights to air the matches, was rejected.More Related News
