England wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Foakes was on Wednesday ruled out of the upcoming 2-Test series versus New Zealand after a freak dressing room accident resulted in a torn hamstring. The 28-year-old, was set to play his first Test in home conditions next month at Lord’s in the absence of injured wicketkeeper-batsmen Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow. "Ben Foakes sustained the injury on Sunday slipping in the dressing room after Surrey’s County Championship fixture against Middlesex at the Kia Oval," England and Wales Cricket Board said in a statement.More Related News
