Two engineering students of SVKM's NMIMS Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering (MPSTME) have bagged a dream job at Amazon Dublin and are set to earn Rs 1.22 crore annually.
Two engineering students of SVKM’s NMIMS Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering (MPSTME) have secured dream jobs with e-commerce giant Amazon with an annual pay package of Rs 1.22 crore each.
The students, Yohaan Vakil and Tanuj Chaniyari, both pursuing a BTech Computer Engineering from MPSTME, will join Amazon’s Dublin office in Ireland as graduate software development engineers, one of the highly sought-after positions with the world’s biggest e-commerce player.
Amazon, which is ranked second among the Fortune 500 companies and is also on the Forbes list of top five best employers globally, has selected the students for the coveted job that involves designing and building innovative technologies in a large, distributed computing environment and helping lead fundamental changes in the industry.
The students have attributed their success to the guidance and counselling by their faculty members at MPSTME, who have provided them with a platform to showcase their innovative ideas.
Yohaan and Tanuj have also focused on developing soft skills to secure the job.
Tanuj Chaniyari said, “I am thankful to my school for making me eligible for this opportunity.”
“According to my job interview experience, employers look for a deep and intuitive understanding of the core subjects and problem-solving skills in candidates,” he said.
