New Zealand all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme suffered a "suspected strain" to his right heal during the second session on Day 3 of the ongoing first Test against England at Lord's on Saturday. An MRI scan is being sought to further investigate.
While providing an update, BlackCaps said, "Colin de Grandhomme has suffered a suspected strain to his right heal and won’t return to the field today. An MRI scan is being sought to further investigate."
BlackCaps had earlier stated, "Colin de Grandhomme has left the field after sustaining a right ankle injury while bowling in the 2nd session of day 3. He's currently being assessed by the medical team to ascertain his involvement in the remainder of the innings."
