After the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Thursday announced a revised travel and return policy, the Indian embassy in Qatar explained the guidelines that apply to travellers from India with effect from 7pm on February 28 Qatar time.
After the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Thursday announced a revised travel and return policy, the Indian embassy in Qatar explained the guidelines that apply to travellers from India with effect from 7pm on February 28 Qatar time.India is one of the nine countries classified under the Red-List Health Measures category as per the revised travel and return policy.Following are the rules applicable to people travelling to Qatar from India, as explained by the embassy:RP holders who are fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 are exempted from a pre-travel RT-PCR test and quarantine upon arrival. A Rapid Antigen Test has to be done within 24 hours of arrival.Unvaccinated RP holders travelling from India need a pre-travel RT-PCR test done within 48 hours of departure. They have to undergo five days of hotel quarantine in Qatar and take a Rapid Antigen Test five days after arrival.Visitors from India, who are fully vaccinated and Covid-recovered, need to carry an RT-PCR report for a test done within 48 hours of the time of departure. They have to undergo one day of hotel quarantine and take a Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours of arrival.Visitors from India who are unvaccinated are not allowed entry into Qatar.See full details on the MoPH website at https://t.co/YWSvrT4D7l
