Elon Musk has told Justin Trudeau he “doesn’t matter” after the outgoing Canadian prime minister dismissed Donald Trump’s plan for the U.S. to take over its northern neighbor.
The key adviser to the president-elect jabbed Trudeau on his X social media platform (formerly Twitter) after Canada’s premier announced Monday he is to resign.
Since winning reelection in November, Trump has repeatedly baited Trudeau about making Canada a U.S. state.
In an X post on Tuesday, Trudeau asserted that “there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States.”
He replied, “Workers and communities in both our countries benefit from being each other’s biggest trading and security partner.”
