Elon Musk responds after Jeff Bezos shares old article predicting Amazon's failure. Viral story
India Today
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos recently took to Twitter to share a message of positivity along with a picture of the magazine describing how critics will always try to put down the confidence of those who want to build something.
There are not many who don’t know the name of Jeff Bezos. One of the richest people in the world, Jeff Bezos, is the founder of Amazon, which has become a multi-billion-dollar company and is a household name now. But the idea of the company was not so generous once. An American magazine titled Barron's published a cover story in 1999 about the then developing company. The story predicted that Amazon's stock price would plummet drastically and it also said that ‘the idea that Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has pioneered a new business paradigm is silly.’ Listen and be open, but don’t let anybody tell you who you are. This was just one of the many stories telling us all the ways we were going to fail. Today, Amazon is one of the world’s most successful companies and has revolutionized two entirely different industries. pic.twitter.com/MgMsQHwqZl The deeper the doubts, the sweeter the success. https://t.co/dgrbu6yB3d Congratulations on all of the ingenuity and hard work you put forth to make Amazon the success that it isI can’t imagine the sacrifices that you had to make to achieve this type of success - bravo! This is epic. Be aware of yourself and your surroundings. Most importantly, be laser focused on your customers. The journey is yours. Rest will be history. #startups #Entrepreneurship https://t.co/fyRXMztpmS One team one dream is continuing in the whole world !! And let's be more humble for making a new story, and history. https://t.co/xsgaZZh4u3 Listen and be open, but don’t let anybody tell you who you are. Always believed in yourself. @JeffBezos #Respect https://t.co/vqqx4xojHr
However, the story didn’t complete its circle of truth as Amazon is currently one of the largest companies in the world with a valuation of over USD 1.6 trillion. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos recently took to Twitter to share a message of positivity along with a picture of the magazine describing how critics will always try to put down the confidence of those who want to build something. He shared a major key to tackling such condemnation.
