Elon Musk and Grimes welcomed their second child, a baby girl, via surrogacy in December last year. Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, said in an interview that they have named her Exa Dark Sideræl Musk.
Grimes, who is also mother to 22-month-old son X Æ A-12, whom she also shares with the Tesla founder, revealed about the birth of her daughter to Vanity Fair in a cover story for the magazine's April 2022 issue.
Grimes was in conversation with Vanity Fair reporter at her home when her baby girl began crying upstairs. That’s when she hesitantly revealed about the birth of her second child.
“She’s a little colicky too,” Grimes said, talking about her daughter Exa Dark Sideræl.
Elon Musk, who started dating Grimes in 2018, told Page Six that they are now “semi-separated” in September last year. Therefore, when Grimes was asked about her relationship status with the Tesla chief during the interview, this is what she said, “There’s no real word for it. I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time. We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it. This is the best it’s ever been.... We just need to be free.”
Grimes further revealed that she and Elon Musk plan on having more kids. “We’ve always wanted at least three or four,” the musician further added.
