The Supreme Court has reserved its verdict in the bail plea filed by activist Gautam Navlakha in the Elgar Parishad-Koregaon Bhima case.
The Supreme Court has reserved its verdict in the bail plea filed by activist Gautam Navlakha in the Elgar Parishad-Koregaon Bhima case. Navlakha was arrested over his suspected Maoist link. Activist Gautam Navlakha, in his plea, has contended that the National Investigation Agency did not file the chargesheet within the stipulated 90-day period, making him entitled for grant of default bail. Gautam Navlakha is facing charges under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. Navlakha, along with 15 others, have been accused of communicating with "banned organisations of Maoists and Naxals". The case was first investigated by the Pune police but was later handed over to the NIA.More Related News
