Elgaar Parishad case accused Stan Swamy’s bail plea rejected

The bail plea of 83-year-old Father Stan Swamy, an accused in the Elgaar Parishad case, has been rejected by an NIA court.
The special NIA court in Mumbai has rejected the bail of Father Stan Swamy, 83, a Jesuit priest and activist working with tribals for decades in Jharkhand. Swamy is currently at the Taloja Central Jail. He was arrested from Ranchi on October 9, 2020. Father Stan Swamy is an accused in the Elgaar Parishad case, linked to the 2018 Bhima Koregaon violence. Swamy’s lawyer Sharif Shaikh had filed the bail plea on merits of the case as well as medical grounds.More Related News
