
Ekta Kapoor's Lock Upp to premiere as per schedule, court vacates stay order

Ekta Kapoor's captive reality show Lock Upp will be streaming as per its schedule. The civil court of Hyderabad has vacated the stay order on the show.
The City Civil Court of Hyderabad has vacated the stay order on Ekta Kapoor's Lock Upp. The captive reality show will now be premiering as scheduled on February 27. Earlier, there were doubts if the show will be able to stream as planned. Recently, the court had issued an ad-interim injunction on releasing Lock Upp.
Sanober Baig has filed a petition accusing the makers of Lock Upp of plagiarism. After, which the court passed an order with an urgent notice prohibiting the exhibition of the show on any electronic media, social media, and other mediums. However, now the court has passed given some relief to the makers of the show, as it has vacated the order and allowed the show to stream on ALTBalaji and MXPlayer.
Sanober Baig organised a press meeting on February 25. He said that his game show concept, Jail, has been plagiarised by Ekta Kapoor (Alt Balaji), MX Player, and Endemol Shine.
Names of five contestants of Lock Upp have been revealed. Actors Nisha Rawal, Poonam Pandey, Karanvir Bohra, stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui and wrestler Babita Phogat have been introduced as contestants.
