The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken possession of properties worth Rs 40.23 lakh belonging to a banned Naxal group leader Rambabu Ram and his family members in a money laundering case, officials said.
Rambabu Ram, who is also known as Rajan Ji alias Prahar alias Nikhil Ji, is a Naxalite and leader of banned Left-Wing Extremist (LWE). He is the secretary of militant Naxalite organisation CPI (Maoist), Western Zonal Committee of North Bihar and has a criminal history of 20 years.
