ED summons seven Bengal IPS officers in coal smuggling case

The probe by the ED indicates that the IPS officers were aware of the coal smuggling racket, but no action was taken by them.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned seven IPS officers deputed in West Bengal in connection with the coal smuggling case, sources said. India Today has learnt that summons have been issued to IPS officers Gyanwant Singh (ADG, CID), Koteswara Rao (SP, WB), S Selvamurugan (SP, Purulia), Shyam Singh (DIG, Midnapore Range), Rajeev Mishra (ADG & IGP, Planning), Sukesh Kumar Jain (Cyber, CID), and Tathagata Basu (SP, WB).More Related News
