Sharddha developers have several ongoing projects in Vikhroli, which falls in the assembly constituency of Raut’s brother Sunil Raut. They also have several ongoing and completed projects in areas such as Bhandup and Mulund.
The ED's probe pertains to alleged financial irregularities in the redevelopment of the Patra 'chawl' and related financial transactions involving Raut's wife and associates.
Pravin Raut, already arrested in the case, is a friend of Raut and his name had also come up while investigations were being carried out in the PMC bank scam case.
