Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's nephew Alishah Parkar was questioned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials in Mumbai on Monday, regarding the gangs active in Mumbai and other areas of the country.
Alishah is the son of Dawood's sister, Haseena Parkar, who died in 2014 after suffering a heart attack. On February 18, Dawood's brother Iqbal Kaskar was arrested by the ED.
The ED had filed an application at Thane court to take Dawood's brother Iqbal Kaskar in custody in the ongoing investigations against Dawood and his aides.
The application was approved by the Thane court. Kaskar was brought to Mumbai PMLA court from where he was sent to ED custody till February 24.
Kaskar has been behind bars in three cases of extortion registered by Thane police in 2017, under the charges of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act. Kaskar was allegedly working for his brother and handling his illegal activities and business in Mumbai and other areas.
Recently it had come to light that Dawood Ibrahim's gang was running terror activities and trying to disrupt law and order in the country.
