The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a notice to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Eknath Khadse and others to vacate properties attached in a money laundering case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a notice to NCP leader Eknath Khadse and four others to vacate the properties that were attached by the agency last year in a money laundering case.
Last year, the ED attached properties including Khadse's bungalow in Lonavala, three flats in Jalgaon, three land parcels, and some flats belonging to other accused in Pune, Nashik, and Surat in a money laundering case related to the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) land deal.
According to the sources, following the attachment, the file was sent to the adjudicating authority, which recently approved the confiscation of the said properties. Following this development, the notice has been sent to Khadse, his son-in-law Girish Chaudhary, wife Mandakini, Insiya Badlawala, and M Ukani.
According to the notice, the properties have to be vacated, after which they will be confiscated and placed under ED's control and possession.
