Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached properties worth Rs 79 lakh of Income Tax officer Abhishek Tripathi in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached properties worth Rs 79 lakh of an Income Tax officer in connection with a disproportionate assets case, officials said. The financial probe agency has attached three immovable properties in Lucknow and the bank balance of Income Tax Officer Abhishek Tripathi and members of his family. Earlier, a chargesheet was filed by the Bengaluru unit of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Abhishek Tripathi and members of his family for acquiring assets disproportionate to his legal sources of income while he was serving as an Income Tax officer. According to the probe agency, from December 2008 to April 2016, Abhishek Tripathi misused his official position to enter into a number of suspicious transactions and acquired huge movable and immovable properties in his name and in the name of members of his family.More Related News
