A patient at Jharkhand’s Sheikh Bhikhari hospital underwent an electrocardiogram (ECG) test under the light of a mobile flashlight.
Doctors at Jharkhand’s Sheikh Bhikhari hospital took an electrocardiogram (ECG) test under the light of a mobile flashlight after the electricity in the building went out.

The incident took place on Friday when Sagar Kumar Yadav, a resident of Mahugaon village, was admitted to the hospital’s emergency ward. In the face of the emergency, doctors had to conduct the test under a flashlight.
The hospital is not short on power sources as it has two generators for backup. The generators consume around 100 to 150 litres of diesel everyday. Solar panels were also installed in the past at a cost of Rs 50 lakh. Additionally, the hospital also has an inverter.
