The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) should not "come down too hard" on Ollie Robinson for old racist and sexist comments if he has since changed his behaviour, former West Indies bowler Michael Holding said.
Former West Indies pacer Michael Holding believes that Ollie Robinson should not be severely punished for his historical racist and sexist tweets if an investigation proves he has changed his behaviour since then. Ollie Robinson was suspended right after the end of his Test debut - the first Test of a 2-match series between England and New Zealand pending the results of a disciplinary investigation into his posts. Robinson tendered an unconditional public apology during the Test match after his tweets from 2012-13 resurfaced on social media. Robinson apologised "unreservedly" for those tweets, which went viral on social media last week when he made his test debut against New Zealand at Lord's.More Related News
