EC allots new party name, symbols to LJP factions led by Chirag Paswan, Pashupati Paras

Chirag Paswan’s bloc will be known as Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) with a helicopter symbol, while the Pashupati Paras-led faction will be called the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party with a sewing machine symbol.
After a bitter split and months of feuding, the two factions of the erstwhile Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) will now be known by different names. While Chirag Paswan’s bloc will be known as Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), the Pashupati Paras-led faction will be called the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party.
The Election Commission has allotted a helicopter to as Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), and a sewing machine symbol to the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party.
