Earthquake jolts Northeast, tremors felt in Assam, North Bengal

A major earthquake jolted Northeast India on Wednesday morning. Tremors were felt in Guwahati of Assam, North Bengal and other parts of the Northeast. 

A major earthquake jolted Northeast India on Wednesday morning. Tremors were felt in Guwahati of Assam, North Bengal and other parts of the Northeast. According to the National Centre of Seismology, the earthquake may have originated in Arunachal Pradesh. However, the reports are yet to be verified. Locals in Assam and North Bengal reported the major earthquake around 8 am on Thursday.
