The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said all efforts will be made to ensure that the third wave, if and when it hits, is not as big as the second Covid wave was in Mumbai, adding that early detection of cases will be key. "As the cases are rising due to Delta and Delta plus variants, early detection will be key. Around 73 per cent of the city's eligible population has taken the first dose, while 25 per cent are fully vaccinated. The cases are bound to rise. But our attempt will be to control it sooner and not let it [third wave of Covid] be like the second wave where cases peaked to 11,500 per day," said BMC's additional municipal commissioner Suresh Kakani.More Related News
