DUTA requests for deferment of exams, alternate evaluation method for final-year students

DUTA has asked the DU administration to consider alternate evaluation methods for final year students amid the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) has asked the administration of the varsity to seek alternate methods for the evaluation of final year students this year and the deferment of the examinations in view of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2020, Delhi University evaluated the first- and second-year students on the basis of their internal assessment and their performance in the previous semester. DUTA is urging the university to consider these methods for the evaluation of final-year students as well. Students are asking the administration to consider the cancellation of examinations for all the students this year due to the unparalleled situation caused by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, though no such announcement has been made by Delhi University.
