A passenger from Dubai concealed 350 grams of gold worth 18 lakhs by stitching them as beads in burqas. She was arrested at Hyderabad international airport and further investigations are underway.
On Sunday, February 26, gold worth about Rs 18 lakh and weighing 350 grams was seized from a passenger at Shamshabad International Airport in Telangana's Hyderabad.
The passenger concealed the gold in the form of beads, coated with rhodium, which were stitched on burqas.The seized gold is said to weigh 350 grams.
A case has been registered against this passenger and further investigation is underway.
