Venkatesh and Meena's Drushyam 2 is a Telugu remake of the Mohanlal-starrer Drishyam 2. Jeethu Joseph has directed a frame-to-frame remake without losing the essence of the story.
Director Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal surprised everyone with Drishyam 2, which was released on Amazon Prime Video in February 2021. The film, which was a sequel to the film of the same name, lived up to expectations. In fact, it is safe to say that Drishyam is one of the most successful thriller franchises where sequels had some substance and were not made just for the sake of cashing in on the popularity.
After the success of Drishyam 2, director Jeethu Joseph teamed up with Venkatesh Daggubati and the cast of Drushyam for the sequel in Telugu. Drushyam 2 follows the story of Rambabu (Venkatesh), his wife (Meena) and his two daughters, Anju (Kruthika) and Anu (Esther Anil). Six years ago, the family covers up the murder of Varun. SP (Sampath) knows that Rambabu is hiding something and tries hard to gather evidence against him. When he gets a breakthrough, he reopens the case.
