In her statement to the Narcotics Control Bureau, actor Ananya Pandey said her drug-use chat with Aryan Khan was a joke in an attempt to be funny.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) chargesheet in the drugs-on-cruise case that contains statements from actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, has a statement from actor Ananya Pandey too.
NCB Superintendent VV Singh recorded Aryan Khan’s statement on October 5 and another one on the next day. In the October 6 statement, Aryan Khan admitted to his chats with actor Ananya Pandey regarding weed procurement.
Following this, the NCB officials proceeded to record the statement of Pandey. On October 22, Pandey’s statement was recorded by NCB officer Vishwanath Tiwary.

In the statement, Pandey confirmed the chats, but she also explained the context. Ananya said that chat related to weed was said in jest and was a joke in an attempt to be funny.
She said all the chats held with Aryan were an extension of the same joke as mentioned earlier. Ananya Pandey had said Aryan was lying and she was completely unaware why Aryan said something like that.
However, in her statement when inquired about weed possession by her sister Rysa Pandey, Ananya clarified and said, “Rysa does not consume drugs, and she used to smoke cigarettes and loose tobacco. I am not aware where she got it from.”
