The Supreme Court has pulled up the Uttar Pradesh government over the delay in filing its status report in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. The court said that the state government appears to be dragging its feet over the case.

“We think you are dragging your feet. Make sure you protect the witnesses,” said the court while slamming the UP government over the progress in the Lakhimpur Kheri case probe.
