MNS chief Raj Thackeray issued a statement to party workers saying that only the designated spokesperson is allowed to speak to the media and no one else.
MNS chief Raj Thackeray doesn’t want his party men talking about his proposed Ayodhya visit in front of the media. In a statement, the MNS chief mentioned that only the designated spokesperson has the authority to talk about his visit on June 5 and no one else.
“No one in the party should talk to the media about my visit to Ayodhya. The party has appointed spokespersons. They will talk about it. No one else should talk about it Those who have been given responsibility should also speak responsibly and be aware of the language. Everyone in the party should take what is written seriously,” the statement read.
The Congress asked Maharashtra BJP leaders to clarify their stand after a BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh warned the MNS chief Raj Thackeray will not be allowed to visit Ayodhya unless he apologised to North Indians.
Maharashtra Congress’s chief spokesperson Atul Londhe said on Friday that while the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is busy rolling out the red carpet for the MNS chief’s Ayodhya visit, the party’s MP wants an apology from Raj Thackeray.
“The BJP in the state has sided with MNS chief Raj Thackeray on the issue of loudspeakers and the BJP's Uttar Pradesh government is busy laying the red carpet for his visit to Ayodhya. However, BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh Brij Bhushan has taken a stand that Raj Thackeray will not be allowed to set foot in Ayodhya without a public apology,” Atul Londhe said on Friday.
Meanwhile, neither the state BJP nor the MNS has reacted to the issue.
