"Don't Leave Home If Not Needed": E Shinde's Appeal After Rain Halts Mumbai

As heavy overnight rain left Mumbai struggling against waterlogging, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday appealed to people not to leave home unless it's necessary.
Mumbai received 300 mm of rainfall between 1-7 am this morning; it's still raining in the city.
Speaking to reporters about how Mumbai is trying reduce any untoward incident, Mr Shinde said he has asked the Police Commissioner not to allow people near the city beaches.
