Don't know about political parties, CAPF working on EC orders: CRPF DG on Mamata's allegations

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General Kuldiep Singh rejected the allegations levelled by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that central forces were working on Union Home Minister Amit Shah's instructions following the Cooch Behar firing incident. CRPF DG said all the paramilitary forces were working on the Election Commission orders. Responding to the allegations against the paramilitary forces, CRPF DG said, "I don't know about political parties. The CAPF is working on the orders of the Election Commission only. I can guarantee for that." After four people were killed in Cooch Behar's Sitalkuchi during phase four of the West Bengal Assembly election on April 10, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee blamed Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the violence and demanded his resignation.More Related News
