As the company praised the delivery boy for working in the midst of bad weather in Kolkata, netizens schooled Domino’s for their post and said that this is “clear exploitation of labour.”
Domino’s Pizza, a multinational pizza restaurant chain, has been criticised by several social media users after one of their delivery boys dropped off an order to a customer amid adverse weather conditions in Kolkata earlier this week. As the company praised the delivery boy for working in the midst of bad weather, netizens schooled Domino’s for their post and said that this is “clear exploitation of labour.” A Soldier is never off duty! Ours come in blue and deliver hot, fresh & safe meals powering through the rains of Kolkata! We salute the service of our #DominosFoodSoldier Mr Shovon Ghosh who ensured that our stranded customer received their food even in such adverse conditions! pic.twitter.com/0xc6yTvn0S Such delivery specialists are making life bearable amid the COVID-19 crisis. Massive respect. Good for the brand of @dominos_india but bad for the delivery man called DominofoodSoldier being in a such bad hazardous environment. We respect the man, not Domino's. And please be considerate while ordering, Delivery man's safety is more important than craving pizza. Yes. You guys are doing a very good job. Keep it up This is the time to make drone based delivery a reality. God Bless. : "Look how we are exploiting our employees and using their story to gain points on the internet" This is clear exploitation of labour ! This is inhuman behaviour. Nothing to be proud of. Give him a bonus Nothing to celebrate here This is plain exploitation of labour! And making fun of his situation. This is wrong on so many levels, stop glorifying such inhuman labour practice.
