Domestic shares end higher as metal, tech stocks rebound

Benchmark indices ended higher on Tuesday as metal and technology stocks rallied sharply after ending lower in the previous trading session.

Indian shares closed higher in a volatile session on Tuesday as metals and tech stocks rebounded from a sharp slide over the last three sessions, while investors also focused on a U.S. Federal Reserve meeting due to end on Wednesday.

The blue-chip NSE Nifty 50 index closed up 0.95% at 17,562.00, while the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex rose 0.88% to 59,005.27
