A 10th class student was asked to sit alone in a room for 3 hours for not paying school fees in Maharashtra's Dombivli.
In Maharashtra’s Dombivli, a 10th class student was asked to sit alone in a room for 3 hours for not paying school fees. The parents alleged that the student’s health deteriorated as he was made to sit all alone in a separate class for hours.
Chandan Giri, a student of Green High School, failed to pay school fees on time. When asked about the incident by the management, all the allegations were denied.
Terming all the allegations as baseless, the school management said that he was asked to sit in the adjacent class and call his father to school.
Chandan started feeling dizzy and fainted when school ended. The students and the management took him to the medical room and called his father to inform him about the incident. Manoj Giri, the father, immediately took his son to a nearby hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Chandan’s father said, ‘’Our financial condition is not good due to the lockdown. I lost my job and so we couldn’t pay the fees. As soon as I receive my money, I will deposit the fees.’’
Meanwhile, the management said, ‘’We did not make the child suffer. The fees have not been paid for the last two years, so we asked the student to sit in the next room and call his father to school. All the allegations against us are completely wrong.’’
